Manual entry with 130+ services pre-loaded and priced

SubTracker is a web app and progressive web app built by Innopulse Consulting GmbH, a company based in Zug, Switzerland. Unlike apps that require you to log into your bank, SubTracker asks you to enter your subscriptions manually or import them via CSV. This sounds like more work on the surface, but it comes with a privacy advantage: the app never sees your banking credentials or transaction history. For people uncomfortable connecting a budgeting tool to their bank account, this is the defining feature.

The product pitch starts with a statistic: the average household wastes $624 a year on forgotten subscriptions. SubTracker's goal is to show you where your money goes and help you decide what to keep and what to cancel. It works in your browser at subtracker.io/app or as an installable app on iOS and Android (no App Store download required; install directly from the web).

How you enter subscriptions without a bank connection

The absence of bank linking means you are responsible for populating your subscription list. SubTracker reduces the friction by pre-loading 130+ popular services with their real 2026 pricing. When you add a subscription, you search for the service by name (Netflix, Spotify, Adobe Creative Cloud, and so on), click to select it, and the app fills in the standard price and billing cycle automatically. If your service is not in the pre-loaded list, you type the details manually.

Alternatively, you can import subscriptions from a CSV file if you have them stored elsewhere, and you can export your full subscription list as CSV or JSON at any time, whether you are on the free plan or a paid tier. This is genuinely portable: if you decide SubTracker is not for you, you are not locked in.

Once subscriptions are added, the app displays them on a calendar view showing exactly when each renewal will hit. You can also use a simple list view, color-coded by category. The calendar syncs with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook so renewal dates appear in your main calendar; a one-time ICS download is also available if you prefer that method.

Shared access and alerts without subscripting to tracking

SubTracker's alerts work differently from bank-connected apps. Since the app is not watching your bank account in real time, it sends renewal reminders on a schedule you set. You choose whether to receive alerts via email, in-app notification, or both. This is simpler than real-time transaction alerts, but it means you rely on your own discipline to check before a bill hits.

The app supports shared workspaces, so families or small teams can manage subscriptions together. Up to 10 people can share access to a workspace, each with role-based permissions (you can limit what some members can do). Everyone sees the full subscription list and the total monthly and annual spend. This is useful for couples or households where subscriptions are scattered across different cards, or for freelancers managing both personal and business tools.

Reports show your subscription spend broken down by category and by month, with a clear view of which months have annual charges hitting. You can attach documents to subscriptions (screenshots of confirmation emails, for example) for record-keeping.

Pricing and what each tier actually gives you

SubTracker pricing is straightforward with no hidden fees. The free plan is truly free: you get unlimited subscriptions, a cost overview, your yearly spend total, and full access to the mobile web app. No credit card is required, and you can cancel at any time.

The Plus tier costs $5.90 a month. This adds renewal and price-hike alerts before each charge, advanced reports and charts, the ability to attach documents to subscriptions, and email reminders. Annual pricing for the Pro tier is available with a discount (the site mentions 15% savings for paying annually, but does not list the exact annual price in the visible pricing table).

The Family tier costs $9.90 a month and is designed for shared household or team access. It includes everything in Plus, plus support for up to 10 workspace members with role-based permissions and shared subscription tracking.

There is also a limited-time offer: $129 as a one-time payment for lifetime access instead of the normal $79 per year. This limited offer has 46 days remaining at the time of writing. As with all time-limited offers, check the SubTracker website to see if this deal is still active before subscribing.

Security and who built this

SubTracker is operated by Innopulse Consulting GmbH, a company registered in Zug, Switzerland. The company publishes its full contact details and imprint on the site, so you know who you are dealing with. This is not a VC-backed startup disappearing into restructuring; it is a profitable company with an established track record.

Your data is hosted in the UK under UK GDPR with an EU adequacy decision, meaning it meets strict European privacy standards. The app does not track you, carries no ads, and does not sell your subscription data or use it to build profiles for advertisers.

You can export your data at any time as CSV or JSON. You can also delete your account permanently from the settings, and the deletion is real: not a flag in the database, but permanent removal of your data.

Who this suits and who it does not

SubTracker is built for people who value privacy over convenience. If you want zero friction and are willing to trade your banking login for automatic detection, a bank-connected app is faster. SubTracker requires you to enter subscriptions yourself, which takes 5-10 minutes upfront but then uses pre-loaded pricing so you do not have to look up each plan yourself.

It works well for households with multiple people paying for subscriptions and wanting a shared view of household spending. It is also ideal if you manage subscriptions across both personal and business accounts and want them in one organized dashboard.

The free tier is genuinely useful on its own. If you have fewer than a dozen subscriptions and just want a reminder list, you do not need to pay. The Plus tier adds alerts and reports, which are most useful if you subscribe to many services or if you want email warnings before renewals.

SubTracker is available worldwide and supports multiple currencies, which makes it practical for international users. The app's design is mobile-friendly; the web app adapts to smaller screens, and the PWA version on your phone feels like a native app.
