A wealth tracker built for the UK
Aureli is a net-worth tracking app designed specifically for people in the UK. It adds up everything you own: your home, your pension, your ISA, your brokerage holdings, crypto, and anything else with a value. It also tracks everything you owe: mortgages, credit cards, student loans. Then it shows you the difference, your real net worth. The app never holds your money, never moves anything around, and does not give investment advice. It is purely a read-only view into your financial picture. The site says "Your real wealth, in real time. Property, pensions, stocks, savings and the debts behind them." The app runs on iOS and is in pre-release for Android.
Aureli is built first for the UK homeowner with complex assets. Most wealth-tracking apps are built for the US market and add UK features as an afterthought. Aureli reverses that. It understands UK pensions (SIPPs), UK tax-advantaged accounts (ISAs, GIAs), UK mortgage structure (including mortgage overpayment scenarios and the math of paying off your home early), and UK Open Banking. The app defaults to British pounds, understands GBP in its pricing feeds, and knows which UK banks can connect. For US expatriates or UK residents with US holdings, the site also explicitly lists support for over 5,000 US financial institutions via Stripe.
The company behind it is Aureli Tech Limited, registered in England and Wales. The app uses bank-level encryption for data in motion (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). It is GDPR compliant and the company never sells your data. Read-only access to your bank accounts is handled through Finexer Ltd, which is FCA-authorised and regulated to provide Open Banking services, so your credentials are never stored with Aureli itself.
How you connect accounts and keep them current
Aureli can sync directly with most UK banks, including Monzo, HSBC, and Barclays. This is Open Banking, the UK regulatory standard. The site says "UK Open Banking - Most UK banks · Monzo, HSBC, Barclays..." and elsewhere "Over 5000+ US financial institutions · via Stripe". The connection is read-only, meaning Aureli can see your balances but cannot move money or make changes. You can revoke access to any account at any time from inside the app.
For assets that do not have a direct connection, you can add them manually. Your home is entered by value and updated any time. A pension held in a fund where you get quarterly valuations can be added and updated manually. A crypto wallet you control is added manually by ticker. This is where Aureli's strength lies: it handles the messy reality of UK wealth. Most people do not fit into a single type of account. You might have a salary in your bank, equity in your home, tax-deferred savings in a pension, tax-free allowances in an ISA, dividend-paying stocks on the London Stock Exchange, a house deposit in a cash ISA, and Bitcoin in Coinbase. Aureli is built to handle all of it in one view.
For accounts it cannot auto-sync, the site still gives you options. Everything can be added manually. If you hold an illiquid asset, like art or a rental property, you can enter a manual valuation and update it whenever you like. This flexibility is important because wealth is not just what your bank app shows. Aureli tries to show the whole picture.
Pricing is fetched automatically for what Aureli can price: stocks on the LSE, NYSE, and NASDAQ, cryptocurrencies, commodities like gold and oil, and FX rates in GBP, USD, EUR, and seventeen other currencies. A daily reconciliation means that the moment a stock price changes, your net worth updates. For anything manual (a house, an art collection, a pension you do not check every day), you update it whenever you like.
How the features work together
The core view is simple: your net worth, your assets by category, your debts, and how each has changed over time. The site shows example dashboards with property at £500,000, pension at £64,000, stocks at £15,842, and crypto at £9,380, with mortgages and credit card debt totalled below. Charts show your net worth over years and break down your wealth by asset class so you can spot what is growing.
Aureli adds depth in scenarios. You can model what happens if you overpay your mortgage by a certain amount each month, if interest rates rise or fall, or if your investments perform differently. This is powerful for UK residents because mortgages are often the largest wealth lever. If paying an extra £200 a month clears your mortgage nine years early, Aureli shows you that projection, and you can compare it to other scenarios like investing that £200 in stocks instead. You can save multiple scenarios side by side and see which path gets you to your goal fastest.
The app supports sharing. You can give a partner, family member, or financial adviser either view-only or edit access to your portfolio. This is useful for couples managing finances together or someone seeking professional advice without giving up their passwords. The app also includes an AI chat feature. You can ask questions like "How am I doing this quarter?" and the AI summarizes your performance for you.
Pricing and what the free tier includes
Aureli is free to try with one portfolio. In the free tier, you get up to 10 assets and debts, one bank account connection, daily valuations with full history, and basic scenarios. You cannot share your portfolio or unlock all scenario features.
Pro costs £7 a month or £60 per year, which saves £24 compared to month-to-month. Pro adds unlimited assets and debts, up to 20 bank connections and 10 portfolios, unlimited scenarios and projections, enhanced AI chat, and the ability to share your portfolio. There is a 14-day free trial for Pro, and you can cancel any time, with the site stating plainly on its pricing section: "Free to use. No credit card required."
The site does not list every feature in the Pro tier, so it is worth exploring the free tier first or checking their full pricing page. The comparison table on the site lists some features that differ: Pro gets unlimited scenarios, but the page does not detail what basic scenarios include or where the boundary is.
Who should consider Aureli and who should look elsewhere
Aureli is built for UK residents who own a home and want to understand their full financial picture, not just their bank balance. If you have a mortgage, a pension, an ISA, and maybe some stocks or crypto, Aureli lets you see how they all fit together. It is particularly useful if you are thinking about overpaying your mortgage or want to model different retirement scenarios. The app is also strong for international investors with holdings in multiple currencies or across the US and UK.
Aureli is not for someone in the US who wants a full budgeting system. There is no spending tracking here. It also is not for someone who wants investment advice or robo-advisory features. Aureli does not tell you what to do, it only shows you what you own. The app is also not designed for complex business accounting or self-employed tax planning, though you could use it to track business assets if you maintain them as separate manual entries. For basic wealth tracking and net-worth visualization, especially in the UK, it is a strong fit. For anything beyond that, it is not a complete solution.
