Quicken Simplifi

Tap a star to rate

Simplifi is Quicken’s answer to the newer wave of budgeting apps, stripped down from the desktop software’s accounting depth into something built for a phone. Its core screen is a spending plan rather than a static monthly budget: as bills, income, and purchases post, the app recalculates what’s left to spend for the rest of the month, so the number on screen reflects the day you’re looking at it instead of a projection made on the first of the month. Net worth and a customizable dashboard sit a tap away from the spending plan.

Accounts connect through Quicken’s own bank-aggregation infrastructure rather than a third-party provider, covering most major US banks and credit unions. The app costs somewhere between $6 and $8 a month when billed annually, with no standalone free tier. Watchlists let you flag a category, like dining out or a savings goal, and get a running tally of progress against it. Simplifi fits people who want more structure than a basic tracker but less complexity than Quicken’s full desktop product.
