Billshark

Tap a star to rate

Billshark doesn’t give you a dashboard of recurring charges to review. You hand over the bills you want lowered, mainly internet, cable, and cell phone service, and a Billshark negotiator calls the provider and argues for a better rate using their knowledge of current promotions and competitor pricing. The company picked up early visibility through an appearance on Shark Tank and has been operating since 2016.

There’s no charge if the negotiation doesn’t produce savings, but when it does, Billshark keeps 40% of what you saved in the first year, a steeper cut than the subscription-fee model most competitors use. The company also runs a separate cancellation service for subscriptions you no longer want, working more like a one-off task than an ongoing tracker. It fits people who specifically dread the retention-department phone call and would rather pay for the outcome than the tool, less so anyone looking for day-to-day visibility into every recurring charge on their statement.
